Primary Responsibilities
The Bridge Internship offers real-world experience on exciting projects and the opportunity to perform assignments under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer in support of bridge design and inspection projects. Tasks may include:
- Developing structural details using specialized software (Micro Station, Mathcad, LARSA or various concrete and steel design or analysis programs)
- Bridge inspections
- Performing structural load rating calculations as well as assisting with geometric layout and bridge type studies
- CADD plan production may also be required
- Perform other duties as needed
- Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Possess strong problem‑solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
