HIL Commissioning Engineer

Responsibilities

• HIL Commissioning and Migration: Lead the commissioning of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems, working closely with dSPACE to implement next-generation drive-by-wire setups. Analyze HIL schematics, ensuring I/O assignments align with system requirements. Troubleshoot I/O mapping issues using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and simulated signals.
• Configuration and Modeling: Develop Configuration Desk projects for I/O and CAN pin configuration, ensuring accurate simulation of real-world conditions. Create and implement plant models using Simulink/MATLAB, integrating subsystems to meet system specifications.

  Serve as the primary technical liaison, working with system engineers and software developers. Facilitate stand-up meetings to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient communication within the HIL team.
• Testing and Validation: Conduct validation assessments for multiple releases, identifying and resolving HIL or Drive-by-Wire software issues. Develop test plans, frameworks using XIL API, and automate testing processes. Perform regression testing on autonomous vehicle road test data and troubleshoot issues.
• Tool Development and Automation: Create and configure CANoe setups with CAPL scripts for node simulation. Automate test cases and power supply controls using Vtest Studio. Write Python/MATLAB scripts to analyze vehicle data logs and enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
• Integration with Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Systems: Collaborate with SIL teams to create EURO NCAP scenario scripts using Simian tools. Evaluate AV architectures, define interface and data format requirements for HIL integration, and simulate vehicle dynamics and platform conditions using dSPACE and CAN.
• Process Optimization and Deployment Management: Leverage automated testing to streamline system integration and release processes. Manage rapid software deployment schedules for autonomous vehicle systems to ensure smooth testing and integration.

• Strong experience with dSPACE, HIL systems, and drive-by-wire technologies.
• Proficiency in Configuration Desk, Simulink/MATLAB, and XIL API for test automation.
• Expertise in CAN, CAPL, Vtest Studio, and Automation Desk tools.
• Knowledge of autonomous vehicle system architectures and integration.
• Strong problem-solving skills in validation and regression testing.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
