Special Ed Teacher | Ann Arbor, Michigan

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available to provide dedicated support to students in grades K-2 within a K-12 school setting in Ann Arbor, MI. This contract role extends through the current school year, concluding June 11, 2026, and requires onsite presence to effectively engage with students and staff.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering specialized instruction tailored to the learning needs of students with cognitive impairments or autism spectrum disorder.
• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with best practices and compliance standards.
• Collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support student growth and success.
• Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Utilizing Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) strategies to ensure student and staff safety.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education License with Cognitive Impairment (CI) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) endorsement.
• Certification in CPI or willingness to obtain and maintain annual CPI certification.
• Experience working with young students in a special education setting preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to fostering positive relationships and student development.
