As an Apprentice Teacher you will provide high quality, mission aligned early childhood education for children in an assigned classroom while training under the Lead/Mentor Teacher of that class.

* For staff working 30 hours or more a week

• Designing learning activities and creating unforgettable experiences
• Coaching and training up other teachers through feedback and modeling
• Providing exceptional partnerships with students, parents, and community members
• Contributing to a fun, welcoming and organized environment
• Ensuring the safety of participants, reporting any concerns as per licensing guidelines

• Be age 16 or older
• Be able to work a minimum of 25 hours per week
• Be able to pass all required background checks and criminal history review
• Meet LARA licensing education requirements appropriate to assigned role
• Be able to be “on your feet” for most of the day
• Hold, carry, or lift up to 25 pounds
• Work outside in all weather conditions

• Prior experience working with children
• Prior experience and love of the outdoors
