Purchasing Manager - Mason Area

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery of materials.
• Source, evaluate, and select new suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to achieve favorable conditions.
• Manage existing vendor relationships, monitoring performance, quality, and compliance to ensure continuous supply.
• Oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, and MRO items, ensuring timely delivery and optimal inventory levels.
• Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure purchased materials meet specifications and production schedules.
• Implement and maintain purchasing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems for procurement and inventory management.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and MRO procurement.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve significant cost reductions and optimize supply chain efficiency.

• Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation.
• Proficiency with enterprise-level ERP systems (e.g., SAP MM, Oracle SCM).
• Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies in a supply chain context.
• Proven track record in international sourcing and supplier development.
