Overview

We are looking for individuals with experience in plastic injection molding maintenance and repair to join our maintenance team. These technicians will be tasked with performing complicated repairs to hydraulic and electric machines, as well as other repairs as needed. Troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently, with minimal direction, is essential for this position.

Experience in Plastic Injection Molding is a mandatory prerequisite for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for maintenance and repairs associated with injection molding machinery.
  • Responsible for repairs of hydraulic systems, HVAC, conveyors, and pneumatic circuits.
  • Troubleshoot and repair failed machinery and control systems.
  • Complete repair of hydraulic systems, HVAC, conveyors, and pneumatic circuits.
  • Repair and PM all auxiliary equipment.
  • Identifies maintenance concerns and issues and works to assist with their resolution.
  • Maintain equipment operating logs and properly document activities while on duty.
  • Follows all safety standards and procedures according to OSHA and ANSI regulations and standards.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Must have good attendance habits.
  • Solid knowledge in industrial electricity, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Excellent communication skills internally and externally.
  • Frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing to stay current with technology through continuing education.
  • Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience troubleshooting injection molding and secondary equipment.
  • Knowledge of Ladder Logic and PLC experience desired.
  • Previous experience with electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and air dryer work, including the ability to troubleshoot and repair.
  • Experienced with programmable controls, including the ability to troubleshoot and modify programs through the appropriate tools.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Industrial electrical knowledge or experience is preferred.
  • Robotics experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Ladder Logic and PLC experience desired.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to climb overhead structures and to work underneath machines in close quarters in order to perform day‑to‑day tasks.
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
