Maintenance Technician Required Skills and
Education:
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repairs. Must be familiar with state and local childcare facility regulations and safety codes. Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environments. Requires ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
- Education or equivalency: Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Experience: Proven experience in facility maintenance, preferably in a school, daycare, or similar environment.
- Certification/licensure: Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing fields preferred. Technical certification in maintenance-related fields is a plus.

A Maintenance Technician helps ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of our early childhood education facilities. This role is essential in providing a safe and well-maintained environment for children, staff, and families. The ideal candidate will have experience in facility maintenance, be proactive in addressing repairs, and have a strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to childcare environments.
