Certified Surgical Tech

Overview

Are you a certified surgical tech seeking a new opportunity? Ankeny Medical Park Surgery Center is seeking a certified surgical tech to join the team. You will be assisting physicians and nurses in orthopaedic cases. This is a Full Time (FTE 0.9+), Monday through Friday in Ankeny. No nights, no weekends and no on-call requirements.

• Assist physicians and nurses in outpatient orthopaedic surgery procedures.
• Maintain a safe and sterile operating room environment; prepare the OR for the arrival of surgical patients, assembling equipment, supplies and instruments.
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and assist with the preparation and maintenance of the operating room.
• Communicate effectively with team members; maintain patient confidentiality and respect patient rights.
• Work hours are Monday through Friday and require being on your feet for extended periods.

• Current certification to practice in the state of Iowa.
• Prior experience in orthopaedics or an ASC is preferred but not required.
• Ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision; excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle high-stress environments and be adaptable to change.
• Flexibility of hours based on scheduled cases.
