Hospice - Companionship or Administrative Support

Quality of life at the end of life. You can help bring this support to individuals and families. Whether behind the scenes with administrative support or providing companionship to patients, your presence will make a difference on the Care Initiatives Hospice team. Volunteers are needed in Central Iowa including the Ames, Des Moines, Panora, Marshalltown, State Center, Story City, Stratford, Jefferson, Zearing, and Montezuma areas.

You will visit hospice patients in a nursing facility or in their home.

Volunteers receive specialized training. Training sessions are offered throughout the year to meet the availability of the volunteers. Completed application, background and reference checks are required.
