Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Reporting

Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and reporting for our organization in Ankeny, Iowa. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and is committed to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a vital role in supporting decision-making through insightful financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.

- Manage the preparation and review of monthly journal entries and ensure accurate month-end close processes.

- Oversee the creation and submission of monthly financial reports, ensuring compliance with company standards.

- Coordinate annual financial reporting and audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and timely.

- Analyze financial statements to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.

- Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts to align financial plans with organizational goals.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations in all financial activities.

- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses to address specific business needs or challenges.

- Collaborate with other departments to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or a similar role.

- Strong proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports.

- Expertise in managing month-end close activities and journal entries.

- Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

- Familiarity with annual audits and financial reporting requirements.

- Advanced analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
