JA Finance Park begins in the classroom with hands-onactivities led by 7th or 8th grade teachers. After completing the classroomlessons, students visit JA Finance Park to participate in an interactivesimulation that brings those lessons to life.
During the simulation, each student receives a randomlyassigned life scenario and explores different aspects of adult financialdecision-making — from childcare and housing to investments and insurance. Bythe end of the experience, students put their money management skills to thetest as they create and balance their own budgets.
The Volunteer Commitment- 30-minuteon-site training provided by JA Finance Park staff
- Volunteer time: 8:45 a.m. – 1:15 p.m. (time may vary slightly depending onschool travel distance)
- Work directly with a small group of 5–6 students as they navigate theirassigned life scenarios
