Position: Full Time Infant Assistant Teacher (Ankeny)

Up to $500 company bonus available

We are seeking an attentive individual who would like to care for infants, ages 6 weeks through 12 months. This person will get to follow varying schedules, maintain infant hygeine, monitor supplies and postiively interact and engage with babies.


ASSISTANT TEACHER


Teaching

  • Assists in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum.
  • Shows ability to lead the direction of the program when lead teacher is absent.
  • Treat children with compassion, dignity, respect and guide them by:
    • Keeping rules simple and easy to understand
    • Talking with children- not at them
    • Setting a good example
    • Teaching children how to correct their misbehavior
    • Teaching children it is ok to make mistakes
    • Teaching children how to resolve conflict and how to apologize
    • Catching children being good and giving praise to build their self concept
    • Giving clear and simple choices
  • General every day clean up after meals and activities.
  • Is up moving in the classroom and participating with children and helping assist the lead.
  • Willingness to support management, DHS and QRS with best practice standards in individual classroom and throughout the center.
  • Establish a positive image as a role model for our children and families.
  • Follows all Little Endeavors policies.
  • Be kind and fair to all children in the classroom without demeaning them, secluding them or embarrassing them.
  • Up to date on all personal requirements set by DHS.
