Medcor is looking to hire a Clinic Administrative Assistant to join our on-site team on an as needed basis at our clinic in Ankeny, Iowa
. The clinic hours are Monday - Friday 06:00 - 2:30.

THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME JOB. IT IS PRN/COVERAGE

*** Since this is on an as needed basis there are no guaranteed hours. If you have the availability to pick up an occasional shift we invite you to apply.***

This position will assist the Clinic Manager in daily duties including but not limited to:
Preparing reports, pulling up patient history and ensuring that the patient chart is not missing any information, scheduling follow up appointments for patients, maintaining inventory and restocking supplies.
A typical day in the life of a Clinic Administrative Assistant:

  • Preparing and maintaining daily reports for the clinical manager
  • Inventory management
  • Greets and directs clients and visitors
  • Makes appointments and referrals
  • Answers phone calls and email
  • Performs data entry and filing tasks for accounts payable, purchase orders, equipment inventory, and confidential employee or departmental files
  • Receives, records, and distributes packages and mail
  • Copies, collates, and otherwise prepares reports for mailings, meetings, and other correspondence
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
You Must
  • Be a high school graduate
  • Have at least 1 year of clerical work experience
  • Be p roficient with data entry, typing, and a good grasp of proper grammar
  • Be able to greet visitors, clients, and colleagues in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Be able to type at least 50 wpm
  • Be able to proofread
  • Have a b asic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing
  • Be able to work independently and identify and solve problems
  • Be able to organize and prioritize work
  • Have strong telephone and organizational skills
  • Have excellent computer skills, including experience in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Have experience operating printers, copiers and document scanners.
  • Be able to access and use the Internet and e-mail programs
  • Be self-motivated and can execute multiple tasks with minimal supervision
  • Have outstanding professional communication skills and the ability to handle a variety of personalities
It’s a Plus If
  • You have medical certifications
  • You have previous office experience
