ResponsibilitiesUtility Inspection Technician:
Responsible for checking gas meters for leaks and corrosion. This includes visual inspection and ensuring all required paperwork/data are completed. Meter Inspection Technicians must report to their respective work area on time at the start of each shift. While on-site, the technician will identify any abnormal operating conditions and accurately fill out all forms associated with the inspection visit (forms may be electronic or paper).

Must be able to communicate effectively in one-on-one settings and when addressing groups.
Ability to work long hours and weekends.
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions; outdoor experience preferred.
Must be available to work overtime and weekends (as needed).
Must pass a drug screen.
Valid drivers license and a safe driving record required.
Works well within a group, as well as independently.
Ability to use simple hand tools.
Ability to read utility maps.
