Financial Controller - Angola - Upstream

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will be responsible for carrying out the below responsibilities:

• Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (both statutory and management reporting)
• Ensure compliance with Angolan statutory laws, tax regulations, and any international accounting standards (IFRS etc.)
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycles; analyze variances vs budget/forecast
• Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury activities
• Implement, monitor, and improve financial controls, policies and procedures
• Liaising with external auditors, tax authorities, regulatory bodies
• Provide financial insights, analysis and recommendations to upper management for strategic decision-making

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller, preferably from the Oil&gas sector is required
Previous experience working within Big 4 Audit firms is highly desirable
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is required
Professional qualification in CA/CPA is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of IFRS, local statutory exposure and taxation methods in Angola is preferred
Excellent leadership & stakeholder management skills
Excellent fluency in English & Portuguese is required
