St Andrews Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated and proactive
Facilities Maintenance Officer
to join our Property and Facilities team. This role is essential in maintaining the safety, functionality, and visual appeal of our campus buildings and facilities.

You’ll play a key part in creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for students, staff, and the wider College community.

Key Functions, Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Deliverables

Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across College facilities.

Construct and repair outdoor equipment, furniture, and fixtures.

Inspect buildings and grounds to identify and address maintenance needs.

Operate tools and equipment safely, following WHS protocols.

Respond to urgent maintenance requests and manage work orders in a timely manner.

Ensure work areas are clean and free of debris at conclusion of tasks.

Maintain accurate records of materials and labour used.

Collaborate with the Property teams to support College operations.

Perform preventative maintenance on plant and equipment and ensure safe operating conditions.

Selection Criteria

Demonstrated ability to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, construction, and upkeep of outdoor equipment and fixtures.

Proven understanding of Workplace Health and Safety protocols and ability to operate tools and machinery safely.

Competence in using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment for repairs and preventative maintenance.

Ability to identify maintenance issues proactively and respond to urgent requests efficiently.

Experience maintaining accurate records of materials, labour, and completed tasks.

Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within the Facilities team and communicate clearly with staff.

Capacity to perform manual tasks, including lifting, moving equipment, and working outdoors in varying conditions.

White Card and Elevated Work Platform certification (desirable)

First Aid and CPR certification (desirable)
