TheJob Role
As the Goods in Supervisor, you will support the operation where required looking to improve efficiency and ensure an effective operation is established and maintained. Although the main role will be linked to Goods in, you will be required to cover when needed different departments where Night Shift Team is involved. The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 21:30 to 6:00.
YourDay-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include
- Receiving and moving goods into storage
- Moving stock
- Put away
- Stock check
- Creating ASN’s for deliveries and providing booking slots
- Item configuration
- Investigating stock discrepancies
- Loading and unloading
- Checking deliveries, signing delivery notes
- Ensuring productivity levels are high and targets are achieved
- Leading and supervising the team to achieve operational plan in all areas
- Training and developing warehouse colleagues
- Liaising with customers via email, Teams and phone
- Data entry into Warehouse Management System
To be successful in this role you will have some of the following skills and experience and the desire to develop in other areas:
- Previous experience within a fast-paced warehouse environment and a good understanding of Warehouse Management Systems and processes.
- An organised and methodical approach to work.
- Able to create and follow warehouse processes and procedures.
- Attention to detail, able to complete repetitive tasks to a high standard.
- Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and within a fast paced and high-pressure environment.
- Able to maintain an awareness of their working environment and work to Health and Safety standards.
- Experience with a recognised WMS (Manhattan, Infor, SAP) would be desirable.
