Location: This position requires onsite full time at the Lockheed Martin Space facility in Andover, MA. The preferred candidate will be located near the facility and will work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full time.

Whatdoes this role look like?
For this role, you will be joining the FBM Avionics organization committed to developing flight software for the missile system. You will join a team of software engineers that designs and develops mission critical Avionics subsystems for the FBM program. The duties for the position will incorporate all phases of the software development life cycle—requirements, design, code, test, and maintenance.

Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software, or related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
- Previous C++ or Python development/test experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance and thus a U.S. Citizen.
Skills:
- Experience in processor and microprocessor firmware (non‑OS based).
- Experience in processor firmware and software (OS based) – software drivers and firmware wrappers.
- Understanding of missile or satellite software systems.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent team orientation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills with management and peers.
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time. The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off.
Pay Rate (Annual Base Salary):The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $134,000 – $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
