Responsibilities
The Bistro Attendant hosts and prepares our residents’ meals in a bistro-style restaurant. This individual is responsible for setting and clearing tables, taking resident food and beverage orders, serving residents in a timely professional manner, and all other aspects of bistro operations.
- Demonstrate superior customer service to ensure that guests are satisfied with their meal experience.
- Correctly use the Point of Sale system to process all orders and payments.
- Correctly open and close the Point of Sale system at the start and finish of each shift.
- Prepare meals from the menu and promote food items and coffee drinks.
- Ensure that the grab and go is always stocked and that back up for the grab and go is made and rotated.
- Determine Panini specials for the day with help from the chef.
- Display a welcoming and outgoing attitude toward all diners, residents, their families, and potential residents.
- Ensure the Bistro remains clean and orderly.
- Maintain temperature logs and par stock lists on a daily basis.
- May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
- One (1) or more years of customer service experience.
- Basic Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- TIPS or other alcohol service training.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Must be able to carry a tray with at least six (6) meals and/or beverages at any given time.
- Must be able to serve up to twenty (20) residents and guests throughout the meal period.
