Phillips Academy is seeking a per diem Registered Nurse to join the Rebecca M. Sykes Wellness Center. This position covers the academic year and Summer Session, with shifts scheduled based on the needs of the Wellness Center. Per diem nurses are required to work two full shifts per term, with at least three shifts per year occurring during off-shift hours (evenings, overnights, or weekends).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide independent health assessments and nursing care to students
  • Manage urgent care visits and care for students in the extended care facility
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in chart review
  • Contribute to ongoing clinical projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Current Massachusetts RN license required
  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • Current CPR/AED certification required
  • Experience in adolescent health, school health, ambulatory care, urgent care, or emergency care
  • Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage a fluctuating patient census
  • Computer proficiency required; EMR experience strongly preferred
  • Full background check required

Per Diem Requirement

Per diem nurses must work three full shifts per trimester
