Our client is seeking an Operations Supervisor to join the team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. The individual will lead production teams, support continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure performance targets are consistently achieved.
Responsibilities:- Oversee daily production activities, identifying and addressing process inefficiencies or disruptions in real time
- Ensure production targets are achieved through effective scheduling, resource planning, and rapid issue resolution
- Coordinate workflow and align team goals while providing clear direction and support to production personnel
- Track and analyze operational metrics such as output rates, cycle efficiency, and material loss
- Collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment performance
- Foster a transparent and collaborative work environment, communicating expectations, standards, and procedures clearly
- Optimize workforce effectiveness through training, skill development, and task delegation
- Lead structured improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance
- Partner with team members to create, implement, and sustain standardized work and operating practices
- Guide teams in reviewing performance indicators, identifying gaps, and driving corrective actions
- Serve as a technical point of contact for resolving routine equipment or production-related issues
- Ensure all operations comply with health, safety, and environmental standards and internal policies
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 8â10 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a collaborative setting
- Experience building, improving, or supporting team-based work structures
- Strong background working with cross-functional groups
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Hands-on understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, Kaizen, or similar frameworks
- Self-directed with the ability to perform effectively in a fast-moving operational environment
