Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 Hourly

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Receive Job Assignment from supervisor.
• Obtain skids, boxes, and/or portable drying racks in preparation for racking operations.
• Remove single sheets or items from bed of manual semiautomatic press upon completion of printing cycle and place on consecutive racks for drying.
• May perform in process inspection per standard operating procedure 101-22.
• Un-rack items placed on portable racks following prescribed drying period and stack properly. Check sheets often for tackiness or partially dried prints.
• Remove single printed sheets from mechanized dryers or conveyor belts upon completion of drying cycle and stack properly. Jog and re stack dried sheets in preparation for secondary printing or finishing operations.
• Notify press operator of any drying or curing problems of printed materials.
• Transport stacked or racked materials to appropriate areas for subsequent processing.
• Assist press operator in setting up the press.
• Continually inspect the printed substrate for register. Report any irregularities to the press operator.
• Deliver screens to screen room and return excess ink to ink room.
• Verify final count of sizes in production run, including misprint replacements and any required overruns.
• Receives screens from pressroom and remove ink residue. Set aside screens for rerun.
• Utilize rubber gloves, apron, face mask, protective glasses, and other equipment as required for personal safety.
• Support the quality policy, objectives and the quality system requirements.
• Observe all safety rules.
• Perform other duties as needed or required.

Education and Job

Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
