You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities- Codes Inpatient Facility medical records using coding classifications to ensure data integrity and proper assignments
- Work daily with MS-DRGs, APR-DRGs, Physician Queries, and ICD-10 PCS coding
- Analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and send provider feedback to improve the quality of documentation
- Collects and abstracts data elements
- Assist customers to address complex issues related to unbilled and incomplete records
- Identify and suggest areas of improvement in high compliance risk coding areas and improve the quality of provider documentation to support code assignment and billing
- All duties as assigned

Required Qualifications- High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
- Professional coder certification with credentialing from AHIMA and/or AAPC (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CIC) to be maintained annually
- 3+ years of experience in Acute Care Inpatient medical coding (hospital, facility, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience with DRG coding, including complex procedures and cases in cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, orthopedics and neurology
- 3+ years of experience using ICD-10-PCS procedure coding

Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience and certifications. In addition to salary, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution are available where eligible. The hourly pay range for this role is $23.89 to $42.69 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
