OverviewJob Description
Job DescriptionQuantitative cellular - Biomarker scientist (Pharmacokinetics Dynamics & Metabolism) (contingent worker).
A skilled cell biologist/immunologist to join a state-of-the-art cellular biomarker-biomeasures laboratory in PDM. Expertise in cellular and functional assays using flow cytometry, cell culture and other immunological assays is required. The lab-based role entails performing deep immune-phenotyping and phospho-signaling assays of human, mouse and cynomolgus cells, receptor quantification, receptor internalization, and receptor occupancy to support portfolio projects. This position requires deep knowledge of human and mouse immunology, proven expertise in multi-color flow cytometry and biochemical techniques (antibody conjugation to fluorochromes) and a strong background in quantitative cell biology.
Extensive experience with cell biological techniques such as cell culture (cell lines as well as primary immune cells), cell isolation from human blood and mouse tissues, immune-staining for multi-color flow assays is required. Expertise in the operation and maintenance of flow cytometers is also required.
BS/MS level education in immunology, cell biology or related fields required, 3-6 years of experience in laboratory work in academic or industry settings.
Additional InformationPrepare and stain cells for receptor quantification, receptor internalization kinetics, immune-phenotyping, functional assays and microscopy. Run flow assays under minimal supervision; initiative in method development is expected. Independently carry out daily operation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of flow cytometers and time-lapse microscopes. Help in assay and reagent development, sample preparation and analysis for biomarker discovery using mass cytometry (CyTOF). Expertise in the operation and maintenance of microscopes (time-lapse and confocal).
Expertise in biochemical assays using MSD and Octet platforms. Open to learning assays for biomarker analysis using mass spectrometry.
