Mechanical Engineer – Advanced Microwave Electronics

Join a leading aerospace and defense innovator as a Mechanical Engineer supporting the design, development, and manufacturing of cutting‑edge microwave electronics subsystems. This role is based on our Andover, Massachusetts campus, home to state‑of‑the‑art engineering labs, advanced manufacturing facilities, and comprehensive ESS test capabilities.

You’ll collaborate with multi‑disciplinary experts using modern tools across RF/microwave, analog/digital, mechanical, and thermal engineering. • Use advanced engineering tools and methods to design and package microwave electronics components and subsystems.
• Support design analysis, research, development, and hands‑on testing across multiple engineering domains.
• Contribute to the planning and advancement of new aerospace technologies.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams on troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement of electronic assemblies.
• Thrive in an environment that blends high‑level conceptual design with practical, hands‑on product development.

• AA degree with 10+ years of relevant experience
• Interim Security Clearance (required prior to start)
• Experience with electronics packaging for military applications
• Skilled in designing and documenting CCAs, PCBs, and cabling
• Proficient with CREO and Windchill
• Strong knowledge of GD&T
• Familiarity with Change Board processes and documentation control

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with packaging for microwave electronics
• Proficiency in CREO, Windchill, and Zuken
• Hands‑on background building and testing electronic assemblies
• Knowledge of materials and processes used in electronics manufacturing
• Advanced GD&T expertise

An interim secret clearance is required prior to starting. Candidates must currently hold an interim clearance, an active secret clearance, or have held a clearance previously.

This is a Contract position based out of Andover, MA.

The pay range for this position is $82.21 - $82.21/hr.
