Engineering Intelligence Intern

Job Description:

Position Summary

The Engineering Intelligence Intern will support cross-functional engineering initiatives by assisting with project coordination, lab-based testing activities, and technical documentation.

This role offers exposure to real-world medical device development and manufacturing processes within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined, detail-oriented student who is interested in learning how engineering projects move from concept to execution in the medical device industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project & Engineering Support

* Assist Project Managers in coordinating project activities and tracking milestones

* Attend engineering meetings and capture key action items

* Maintain and update project dashboards and status trackers

* Support the creation and publishing of project documentation and collateral

* Help organize team events, project communications, and cross-functional updates

* Assist with procurement tasks such as ordering materials and team supplies

Lab & Testing Support

* Support engineering testing activities in the Trans Medics laboratory

* Assist with test setup, execution, and documentation under engineer supervision

* Record and organize test data in accordance with quality standards

* Ensure compliance with safety protocols and lab procedures

* Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying process efficiencies

Qualifications

* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field

(Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar)

* College Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Mechanical aptitude and comfort working in lab environments

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

* Highly organized with strong attention to detail

* Commitment to learning and adhering to safety and quality protocols

Preferred (Not Required)

* Exposure to project management tools or dashboards

* Prior lab, manufacturing, or engineering internship experience

* Interest in medical device, healthcare technology, or regulated industries

Hours:

30- 40 hours per week.
