Join to apply for the Senior Mechanical Engineer – Product Development role at Trans Medics, Inc. in Andover, MA. This position leads the advancement of technology and products related to organ care systems (OCS), developing Class II and III disposables, durables, and accessories.

• Model, build, and test new concepts, iterating through the design process with 3D engineering software.
• Lead the development of complex Class II or III disposables, including injection‑molded parts and assemblies.
• Perform engineering analysis such as tolerance analysis with GD&T, FEA, and first‑principles evaluation.
• Pilot prototype manufacturing, assembly, and engineering testing.
• Manage design documentation and ensure compliance with FDA CFR 820, ISO 13485, and IEC 60601‑1 regulations.
• Travel up to 5% domestic or international as required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
• Five (5) years of progressively responsible medical device product development experience.
• Three (3) years leading the development of complex Class II or III disposables.
• Experience designing injection‑molded disposables using plastic joining methods (ultrasonic/RF/laser welding, adhesive/solvent bonding).
• Proficiency in 3D engineering software and performing tolerance analysis using GD&T and FEA.
• Pre‑employment screening required.
