Sr HW Power Electronics Engineer

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $96,000 - $144,000 per year, which includes base pay and short‑term incentive.

We are looking for talent with motivation to embark on an exciting journey within the field of 3‑phased UPS systems and related secure power technologies. Your starting point will be continuous development of recently released products as part of the R&D organization, with the long‑term plan to transition toward innovation. • Develop, implement, and maintain detailed documentation of the hardware design, including schematics, layout, and bill of materials.
• Lead or actively participate in design reviews, ensure hardware design quality and compliance with mandatory internal and external technical standards, and write design specifications.
• Do component specification, qualification, including laboratory preparation, prototyping assembly, testing and reporting.
• Perform hardware simulations and modelling when needed.
• Lead and/or facilitate the troubleshooting and resolution of electronics circuitry and component issues during development or product life cycle phases.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including industrialization and factory teams, to optimize design and layout for manufacturing, cost, quality, and efficiency.
• When assigned, evaluate field failure data, investigate root causes and propose and implement solutions for field quality issues.
• Specify and draw cable harness for UPS or power converters.
• Provide and/or contribute to new and innovative ideas to rapidly evolving business development activities.
• Support or actively participate in FMEA and product mission profile creation.
• Plan your own tasks and report the progress during daily scrum meetings.
• Support, advise, train, coach other team members regarding internal processes and technical subject matters.

• Knowledge and experience in electronics hardware, including low‑power electronics design (high frequency power supply and its components).
• Hands‑on electronics troubleshooting.
• Experience with E‑CAD tools, preferably CADENCE.
• Experience in product development for series production.

• Bachelor’s (Master’s a plus) degree in Power Electronics, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Capability to grow in a multicultural environment.
• Proficiency in English.
• Structured and organized way of work.
• Experience with safety standards such as IEC/UL 62477‑1/62040 or UL1778/UL1741 or similar is a plus.
• Experience with 3ph technology (480
  
  VAC/60
  
  Hz).

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience from the domain of power conversion.
• Experience in digital control electronics (embedded electronics) is a plus.

• Position doesn’t include frequent travel.
