Accounting Assistant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in Andover, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract position, ideal for someone with strong skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial reconciliation. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization while enhancing your accounting expertise.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are up-to-date and consistent.

- Utilize Quick Books to maintain and update financial data.

- Code invoices correctly and ensure compliance with company policies.

- Assist with preparing financial reports and documentation as needed.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and support financial operations.

- Maintain organized and accurate records for auditing purposes.

- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams to address payment and invoicing issues.

- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and company procedures. Requirements

- Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Proficiency in Quick Books and Excel.

- Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations and financial transactions.

- Ability to code invoices and ensure compliance with financial guidelines.

- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.

- Familiarity with accounting principles and standards.
