Availability Window

Sunday, Wednesday, Friday, 05:30 to 22:30. Minimum of 12–16 hours per week, with flexibility around the advertised times.

Pay: Starting at £12.45 an hour, increasing to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

It’s our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but we also support shorter arrangements of 12 hours.

• Deliver excellent customer service, greeting customers with a smile.
• Provide product knowledge and assist customers in the store.
• Replenish stock, pick and restock items throughout the store.
• Manage checkout and dining areas, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
• Make decisions beneficial for customers and meet their needs promptly.
• Participate in community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Maintain store performance, reduce waste and shrinkage, and help drive profitability.
• Handle product deliveries and ensure items reach customers in the best condition.
• Accept deliveries into the store when required.

• Build rapport with customers, ensuring they leave with a positive shopping experience.
• Initiate decisions that are right for customers and work well within a team.
• Communicate openly with colleagues and build relationships to foster team spirit.
• Be punctual, well-presented, and act as a brand ambassador for Tesco.
• Demonstrate knowledge of store operations and the ability to drive service and sales.
