Role Summary
You will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of our market-leading Matsuura 5‑axis machining centres. Working to tight deadlines and complex customer specifications, you will ensure all components meet our strict quality standards.
This role requires strong collaboration with other team members and working closely with the quality department to ensure full traceability and conformity.
Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and maintain 3- and 5‑axis milling machines
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Select appropriate tooling, work holding methods, and fixtures
Use precision measuring instruments for inspection
Work independently while meeting deadlines and quality expectations
Communicate with team leaders/managers regarding tooling or equipment requirements
Maintain a disciplined approach to manufacturing processes and quality
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a similar engineering or machining role
Experience with 5-axis milling machines
Confident using precision measurement tools
Strong commitment to quality and accuracy
Enthusiastic approach to learning and development
Able to work without close supervision
Proactive, energetic, and positive "can‑do" attitude
Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
Preferred Skills
Experience operating CNC machines
Broad understanding of metallic materials
Familiarity with Fanuc operating systems
Knowledge of Edgecam or similar CAM software
