* Friday: 08:30 – 15:30

(Some out-of-hours work may be required)

Salary: £30,000-£32,000

About the Role

Syntech Recruitment are partnering with a long standing client who are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Manager and team in maintaining equipment and facilities across their sites in Andover.

This is a varied role involving routine maintenance, safety checks, repairs, and preventative work to support manufacturing operations. You will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring equipment runs efficiently and safely.

This position would suit someone with maintenance experience or a newly qualified candidate looking to begin their career in maintenance or engineering.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out routine cleaning and specialist cleaning of machinery

* Perform weekly preventative maintenance on equipment and plant

* Complete safety checks, repairs, and general maintenance tasks

* Support production by maintaining machinery across multiple sites

* Identify and report faults or defective equipment

* Travel between company sites as required

Skills & Experience

* Experience in maintenance, handyperson work, or a completed apprenticeship in maintenance, machinery, electrical, or a related field

* Practical, hands-on approach with basic tools

* Mechanically minded with problem-solving ability

* Good communication and time management skills

* Comfortable working independently and within a team

* Computer literate

* Full UK driving licence required
