Mechanical Design Engineer - Andover

Our client based in Andover, Hampshire specialises in the design and manufacture of highly complex PCBA's for a range of industries including automotive, industrial and medical.

You’ll be involved in the design, development, and manufacture of components, tooling, fixtures, and test equipment, contributing to both prototype and production-scale manufacturing. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and customers, taking ideas from concept through to full‑scale production.

• Design and develop components and assemblies for semiconductor packaging applications.
• Conduct early‑stage feasibility studies and develop advanced concepts using emerging technologies.
• Translate conceptual designs into manufacturable products, applying DFM/DFA principles.
• Maintain and optimise engineering processes in line with company and international quality standards.
• Provide technical support and mentorship within the department, promoting a “right first time” approach.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical or production engineering (preferably within semiconductor or high‑tech manufacturing).
• HND or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering.
• Proficient in CAD design and 2D drafting (Solid Works preferred).
