Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a well-established secondary school in Andover to recruit an experienced Teacher of Personal Development and Health & Social Care for a full‑time position starting 13th April 2026
.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident and committed teacher with excellent behaviour management skills who is passionate about supporting young people’s personal growth, wellbeing and preparation for adult life. You will play a vital role in equipping students with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
The RoleAs a Teacher of Personal Development and Health & Social Care
, you will:
- Deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons that support students’
personal, social, health and economic development - Teach Health & Social Care content that prepares students for further education, training and employment
- Create a calm, purposeful and inclusive learning environment through strong behaviour management and high expectations
- Support pupils as they transition from childhood to young adulthood, promoting resilience, responsibility and independence
- Monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback to support student development
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school and uphold safeguarding and wellbeing practices
You will be working in a setting that values high standards, inclusion and personal development

- Is a qualified and experienced teacher with strong classroom presence
