2nd Shift Production Supervisor, SWG

Vertiv is seeking an experienced and driven Production Supervisor to support our Switchgear manufacturing operations in Anderson, SC. This role is a critical leadership position within a complex, fast‑paced manufacturing environment supporting the build of custom and engineered switch gear solutions for data centers, utilities, and critical infrastructure customers.

Reporting to the Production Manager
, the Production Supervisor will lead multiple production teams across rotating shifts
, with accountability for safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving operational excellence, developing frontline leaders, and ensuring production targets are achieved while meeting Vertiv’s safety, quality, and customer commitments.

• Lead and supervise production teams within the Switchgear department
  , ensuring safe and efficient execution of daily manufacturing activities.
• Drive Total Production Efficiency (TPE) through effective workforce planning, standard work, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee production operations including fabrication, assembly, wiring, machining, powder coat, feeder processes, and material flow as applicable to switch gear manufacturing.
• Manage performance across three rotating shifts
  , ensuring consistent output, quality, and adherence to schedule.
• Partner closely with Production Managers, Schedulers, Team Leaders, Project Engineers, Quality, Logistics, and Stores to meet build schedules and on‑time shipment commitments.
• Monitor and analyze key operational KPIs (safety, quality, delivery, productivity, scrap, rework) and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead and support employee relations activities including coaching, performance management, disciplinary actions, and return‑to‑work meetings.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and promote a strong safety‑first culture.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of production employees and frontline leaders.
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage production control, labor tracking, and material coordination.

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical or Electrical technical qualification or equivalent hands‑on manufacturing experience.
• Experience working in a high‑mix, low‑to‑medium volume or engineered‑to‑order manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs and performance management.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced production setting with multiple priorities.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels.

• 7+ years of senior supervision or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience supporting switch gear, electrical equipment, or complex assembly operations
  .
• Experience launching or scaling high‑volume production lines
  .
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, Kaizen).

• Standard manufacturing environment.
• No routine travel required
