You’ll Bring To This Role

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Regional Manager will oversee the EHS program covering corporate support and Engineered Solutions in North Carolina and South Carolina, remote install crews based in Florida, and Hughes Safety Showers in Sarnia, Canada. The successful candidate may be based out of Deerfield, IL or Wilkesboro, NC and will report directly to the Global EHS Director.

As a member of the EHS team, you’ll collaborate with industry leaders and top brands, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and driving initiatives to create safer workplaces. The team focuses on risk reduction, regulatory excellence, and innovative safety solutions.

What You’ll Do At Justrite
  • Develop and administer effective occupational health, safety, ergonomics and industrial hygiene programs, including health services functions and policy maintenance.
  • Maintain site‑specific environmental permits and reporting requirements.
  • Identify hazards, facilitate preventive actions, and develop additional safeguards throughout the site.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the factory floor to coach employees toward safer behavior and problem‑solving.
  • Manage hazardous waste material streams throughout the factory.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental health and safety regulations and internal standards.
  • Deliver EHS training and maintain training records.
  • Perform Job Hazard Analysis and help develop Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Lead the installation, inspection, and mapping of emergency equipment and evacuation maps.
  • Establish target areas and long‑range incident/accident prevention and cost‑control objectives with the HR Manager.
  • Lead the Safety Committee and other employee‑involvement initiatives to achieve safety goals.
  • Maintain a system for reporting, monitoring, and correcting safety problems and review incident reports to determine corrective actions.
  • Own and administer the Workers’ Compensation program.
  • Maintain OSHA 300 logs and required agency submittals.
  • Serve as the interface for agencies such as OSHA, NIOSH, EPA, and state regulators; participate in inspections and audit correspondence.
  • Investigate injuries, identify root causes, and issue company‑wide Safety Alerts.
  • Ensure all areas are inspected for potential hazards and make recommendations for major projects and procedures.
  • Maintain the Safety Library by surveying and keeping current on relevant topics for safety improvement and hazard prevention.
  • Monitor and control industrial hygiene related to chemical exposure, noise, lighting, heat, humidity, and other factors.
  • Conduct EHS orientation for new employees to ensure compliance with company practices.
  • Manage any other project assigned as needed.
Your Skills And Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Safety/Environmental/Safety Science/Engineering or related area.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Broad knowledge of regional and local EHS compliance and regulatory requirements for manufacturing and facility operations.
  • Travel required, up to 40%.
