Summary: To aid in patient diagnosis and treatment, performs accurate tests and procedures on patient specimens. Position is for an MLS/MLT generalist in the Core Lab, supporting inpatient and ED Level III trauma center.

• Performs all testing and procedures according to standard laboratory procedure and techniques, producing accurate results.
• Maintains an operational knowledge of all mechanical and electrical equipment in the lab, including the ability to operate the Lab Interface System
• Participates in the quality improvement requirements of the laboratory’s quality management system. Ensures that quality control and calibration criteria are met
• Assumes responsibility for attaining required continuing education credits annually
• Responsible for bench teaching, training and evaluation of students, residents and new employees
• Assists with test/procedure evaluation, implementation, and maintenance; helps to implement change.

• MLT ASCP Eligible: Associate Degree in Medical Technology, MLT (ASCP) or HHS eligible.
• MLT ASCP: Associate Degree in Medical Technology, MLT ASCP required.
• MLT HEW: Associate Degree in Medical Technology, MLT HEW required.
• MTASCP Eligible: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, MT (ASCP) eligible with HHS certification.
• MT ASCP: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, MT (ASCP) registry or other nationally recognized registry.

Founded in 1908, AnMed is an independent, not-for-profit health system serving Upstate South Carolina and northeast Georgia.
