Mechanical Design Engineer

Vertiv is currently looking to add a Mechanical Design Engineer to our team of associates in Anderson, SC. We look for people who are 100% team-oriented, self-driven, and technically proficient. This position is best suited to someone who enjoys a variety of new challenges, a hands‑on environment and will accept the challenges and reap the benefits of working for a facility with a blank canvas. You will have an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to modelling and manufacturing drawings pertaining to Busbar and Busbar tap boxes.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the ideal candidate’s roles and responsibilities will include the following tasks as well as other pertinent tasks as assigned by Organization leadership.

• Support for Engineer staff for project specific requirements for Low Voltage Assemblies (LVA).
• Generate Solid work models and drawings as required for each project /site requirements.
• Perform initial setup of projects on ERP system IFS.
• Compile Technical Drawings for review by Engineers prior to issuing to the customer.
• Establish and reinforce document control for each project.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and assembly teams, supporting design related issues and ensuring smooth production process.

• Possess computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and databases such as Access.
• Display a proactive flexible approach to working within a team environment.
• Proficient in 3D drawing packages (Solid Works experience preferable)
• Ability to self-manage, be self-motivated and deliver to project milestones.
• Innovative problem‑solving skills
• Professional verbal and written communication

• Bachelor’s (Preferred)
• Two-year degree in engineering related field (Minimum)

• Based on Education and/or Experience.
