The Contribution You’ll Bring To This RoleBasic Concepts, Inc. (BCI) is seeking an entry‑level Manufacturing Engineer to join their operation in Anderson, SC. The Manufacturing Engineer performs functions including aiding in the development of new products and processes. Under broad direction, they work from requirements or instructions to design and develop new components or redesign existing components and processes to improve company products and profitability. They determine and establish specifications through engineering calculations and layouts, oversee the assembly and tests of engineering prototypes, work closely with the Operations Team to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency in the manufacturing plant, and provide guidance on unique product specifications.

- Prepare drawings, procedures, sketches, etc., necessary for both day‑to‑day manufacturing and the development of new products or redesign of existing products and processes.
- Ability to write and edit technical instructions in plain language for maximum operator engagement.
- Involvement in establishing quality criteria and testing/quantification methods to validate products meet & surpass intended specifications.
- Review and calculate labor, material and other production costs.
- Analyze and plan product workflow, equipment placement, and space/egress requirements to maximize manufacturing efficiency.
- Conduct continuous search of new materials, processes, and procedures for new ideas to enhance and improve existing products with considerations such as chemical compatibility, environmental impacts, and manufacturing processes (fabrication, plastic heat welding, coated fabric converting, material handling and automation).
- Work with the rest of the Engineering Team to create and perform tests, record results, and create written reports with data and statistics for internal and external publication.
- Participate in Va‑Ve and Continuous Improvement activities to maximize profitability and provide maximum end‑customer satisfaction.
