Job Title
Job SummaryThe F&I (Finance & Insurance) Manager at Tom Wood Honda is responsible for maximizing profitability through the sale of finance and insurance products while ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role delivers exceptional customer experiences, builds strong lender relationships, and partners with the sales team to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of automotive financing operations, including structuring deals, completing paperwork, and securing financing approvals.
- Work closely with sales team members to facilitate the sales process by providing financing options and solutions tailored to individual customer needs.
- Review credit applications and financial documents to assess customer creditworthiness and determine appropriate financing terms and conditions.
- Negotiate financing terms with customers, lenders, and other financial institutions to secure the most favorable rates and terms possible.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing automotive financing.
- Maintain accurate records of all automotive financing transactions and ensure timely completion of all required documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support throughout the automotive financing process, addressing customer concerns and inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
- Maintain a high level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and business partners.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by dealership management.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2–4+ years of automotive F&I experience or related finance/sales role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales and compliance goals.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to automotive finance.
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and menu-selling software.
- Sales & Persuasion:
Ability to present products effectively and close sales ethically. - Compliance Expertise:
Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and dealership policies. - Customer Focus:
Builds trust and delivers exceptional experiences. - Financial Acumen:
Strong knowledge of lending practices and product profitability. - Communication
Skills:
Clear, professional, and persuasive communication with customers and team members. - Problem-Solving:
Ability to resolve issues quickly and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Finance Penetration Rate:
Target 50%+. - Product Sales per Deal:
Meet or exceed dealership benchmarks. - Compliance Score: 100% adherence to regulatory requirements.
- CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index):
At or above dealership standards. - Funding Time:
All deals funded within expected time frame.
