Contract Opportunity
We are partnering with a growing engineering and manufacturing organization in the Greater Indianapolis area that is looking to add an Accounting Specialist to support day to day accounting operations. This role focuses primarily on transactional accounting responsibilities including accounts payable, billing, cash application, and reconciliations.
This is a hands on opportunity to work directly with the company’s Controller and help maintain core accounting processes within a small and collaborative finance team.
Key Responsibilities- Process accounts payable including invoice entry, coding, and vendor payments
- Manage billing and invoicing activities and coordinate with internal teams
- Post and apply customer payments and maintain accurate cash records
- Prepare bank and account reconciliations
- Assist with journal entries and support portions of the month end close process
- Maintain accurate documentation and help improve accounting processes
- 2 to 5 years of accounting experience in accounts payable, accounting support, or transactional accounting roles
- Experience with billing, cash application, and reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage transactional accounting responsibilities
- Comfortable working in a small team environment
- ERP experience preferred
- Manufacturing or engineering industry experience is a plus but not required
