Anderson Veterinary Clinic is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our patient care team, helping ensure smooth workflow, quality care, and a positive client experience. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
• Supporting and advocating for pets while educating clients with warmth and clarity
• Helping with patient handling, sample collection, and basic in-house lab testing
• Maintaining accurate medical records and contributing to efficient patient flow
• Keeping exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for use
• Bringing a positive, team-oriented mindset to support excellent patient care

• Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to teamwork
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Minimum 1 year of experience in veterinary care highly preferred
• Experience in vaccine protocols, and surgical monitoring preferred
• Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of all sizes
• Basic knowledge of veterinary procedures, terminology, and daily patient care
• A willingness to learn, grow, and support the team in a collaborative environment

Anderson Veterinary Clinic is a full-service small animal practice offering preventive, medical, surgical, and dental care in a friendly, supportive setting. We are open Monday–Friday 7:30am–6pm and Saturday 8am–4pm. Our clinic has proudly cared for the Anderson and Redding communities for decades, providing compassionate, high-quality care to the pets who mean the most to the families we serve.
