About YouAs a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our patient care team, helping ensure smooth workflow, quality care, and a positive client experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Supporting and advocating for pets while educating clients with warmth and clarity
- Helping with patient handling, sample collection, and basic in-house lab testing
- Maintaining accurate medical records and contributing to efficient patient flow
- Keeping exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for use
- Bringing a positive, team-oriented mindset to support excellent patient care
- Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to teamwork
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in veterinary care preferred
- Experience in vaccine protocols, and surgical monitoring preferred
- Ability to safely handle and restrain dogs and cats of all sizes
- Basic knowledge of veterinary procedures, terminology, and daily patient care
- A willingness to learn, grow, and support the team in a collaborative environment
Anderson Veterinary Clinic is a full-service small animal practice offering preventive, medical, surgical, and dental care in a friendly, supportive setting. Our veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client service team work together seamlessly to ensure every patient receives attentive, compassionate care.
We are open Monday-Friday 7:30am-6pm and Saturday 8am-4pm

Pay is competitive and based on experience, typically ranging from $19-$22.50 per hour
. The final rate will reflect your skills, experience, and qualifications.
