About The Role We are seeking a reliable, safety‑driven, and customer‑focused Station Lead to join our aviation operations team. This role is responsible for supervising station personnel and ensuring safe, efficient, and professional ground and passenger handling operations. The Station Lead plays a key role in daily airside and ground operations while maintaining strict compliance with FAA, airport, and company policies.

Reports to Director of Ground Operations
Required Qualifications- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Lead or Supervisor in aviation preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of aviation experience preferred
- Experience enforcing company policies and procedures preferred
- Strong customer service, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to consistently lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high‑pressure situations
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and decision‑making skills
- Station Leadership and Supervision: Directly supervise station personnel to ensure safe and efficient airside and ground operations; ensure agents working flights are properly trained and performing assigned duties; assist the Station Manager with workforce planning, including vacation scheduling, sick leave, and holiday coverage; ensure an Aircraft in Charge (AIC) is assigned for each flight and a qualified Ground Service Coordinator (GSC) is on duty.
- Safety, Security, and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all FAA, airport, and company policies and procedures; monitor station conditions for safety hazards and take immediate corrective action; promote a strong safety culture by encouraging safe practices and reporting of safety concerns; report safety hazards and operational issues as discovered; maintain currency on all required training and certifications.
- Ground and Ramp Operations: Oversee and assist with aircraft ground handling, baggage, and ramp operations as needed; ensure proper marshalling, wing walking, loading, and unloading procedures are followed; coordinate fueling, deicing, and ground handling services to support on‑time departures; ensure ground support equipment is maintained at acceptable operational levels.
- Station Operations and Administrative Duties: Communicate with airport authorities and aircraft service providers to support smooth operations; address and resolve customer service issues professionally and efficiently; maintain a clean, safe, and orderly station environment; assist with station opening and closing procedures as required.
