Position: GSE Technician (Part-Time ANC Airport)

GSE Technician (Part-Time ANC Airport) – Anchorage, AK – Pegasus Aviation Services

Responsibilities
  • Maintain appearance of all ground service equipment.
  • Assist mechanics when needed.
  • Operate ground service equipment (GSE).
  • Clean engines (gasoline and diesel).
  • Perform oil change preventive maintenance on light equipment.
  • Ensure safety and security of the ramp at all times.
  • Observe safe ground handling procedures and maintain ground handling equipment, including performance of equipment checks.
  • Fuel all company vehicles.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor and manager.
Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • U.S. citizen or proof of right to work in the U.S.
  • High school graduate or GED.
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds comfortably.
  • Fluent reading, writing, speaking, and understanding of English.
  • Ability to work under stressful situations and tight time constraints.
  • Self‑starter willing to take initiative.
  • Can work without direct supervision.
  • Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
  • Successful completion of background investigation, including FBI fingerprints, criminal history, and pre‑employment drug test.
  • Up to 25 % travel may be required.
  • Willingness to accept other assigned duties as a team.

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Abilities
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands
  • May lift or move with help up to 60 pounds, and more frequently 70‑100 pounds with help.
  • Regularly use hands, talk, hear, bend, stoop, kneel, stand, and walk; may need to climb, sit, or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
  • Work outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions with a seasonal temperature range that includes rain, snow, wind, and extreme temperatures.
  • Noise level usually moderate, may vary dramatically; high noise where hearing protection is required and provided.
