Reports to: Service Manager
Status: Regular, Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Location: Anchorage, AK
Compensation: $26 - $30 DOE
JOB SUMMARY: The Service Technician II is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while providing service, installation, and maintenance support for hot tubs, saunas, cold plunges, and water treatment systems. This position requires a high degree of technical skill, professionalism, and the ability to work in extreme weather and physically demanding environments.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Communicate professionally with clients and team members, representing the company in a positive manner.
- Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on hot tubs, water systems, cold plunges, and saunas.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, ensuring repairs are completed correctly.
- Conduct quality inspections on equipment pre-delivery and post-installation.
- Assist with service inventory by tracking, receiving, and organizing parts and supplies for service jobs.
- Safely manage and care for tools, materials, and equipment to ensure proper use and prevent loss or damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and company vehicle; load and unload materials and follow all safety protocols to ensure readiness and safety.
- Safely operate company vehicles while driving to remote and challenging job site locations.
- Perform vehicle inspections and routine maintenance (DVIR reports).
- Use ERP and other tracking tools to maintain service records, estimates, work orders, and warranty documentation.
- Attend company-provided training and participate in meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Strong technical aptitude with mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
- Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, self-directed, and organized.
- Comfortable working independently in remote or extreme environments.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient with basic hand and power tools.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) year of experience in field service, mechanical repair, or related trade.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
- Able to pass background check and obtain/maintain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (within 2 weeks of hire).
- Experience operating or willingness to be trained on heavy equipment (forklift, skid steer, etc.).
- Willingness to travel within Alaska for multi-day service trips as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Alaska Native Corporations.
- Associate’s degree or technical certification.
- Experience in hot tub, water treatment systems or related trades.
- Familiarity with residential, commercial, or industrial spa and water treatment systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials weighing up to 75 lbs. unassisted and push/pull up to 1200 lbs. with assistance.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces such as crawlspaces and attics.
- Climb ladders or stairs while assisting with equipment up to 250 lbs., using dollies or lifting devices.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and work overhead for extended periods.
- Stand or walk for up to 10 hours per day on uneven, icy, or slippery surfaces.
- Manual dexterity to handle small parts and tools with precision.
- Perform repetitive tasks using hand tools and power equipment.
- Visual acuity and color vision to identify electrical components and safety hazards.
