Location:

RHCC Anchorage AK.

• Repair all types of equipment that Raymond West sells and services.
• Update training and skills on a continuing basis.
• Train other employees as needed.
• Maintain a profitable billing level.
• Follow all Service Department procedures.
• Communicate with assigned Field Supervisor.
• Complete all paperwork transactions in a timely, neat, accurate and orderly fashion.
• Communicate all options to customers before proceeding with work.
• Have the necessary tools to perform repair and scheduled service work.
• Complete jobs within quoted time limits when applicable.
• Maintain a clean and orderly (inside and outside) vehicle.
• Maintain an accurate assigned parts inventory, if applicable.
• Always represent the entire company.
• Pass Raymond Certification and re-certification if applicable.
• Maintain good working knowledge of customers and equipment in assigned areas.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record as established by the company's insurance carrier.
• Report accidents whether self or customer.
• Account for 100% of available time during working hours.
• Must be willing to work overtime when necessary and coordinate all overtime with the assigned supervisor.
• Follow all procedures in the company Employee Handbook and safety procedures.
• Be willing to work out of town as necessary.
• Establish a positive rapport with customers.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Service Supervisors or Managers.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and similar software.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees, co-workers, and managers in other departments.
• Willingness to work off-hours as needed and to assume more responsibility as required.
• Ability to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safety.
• Self-motivated and able to manage time efficiently.
• Customer oriented with professional behavior at all times.
• Willing to follow mandates and procedures of the Service Department.
• Ability to deal with customers face-to-face.
• Maintain sound working relationships with other technicians and coworkers.
• Must pass all certifications appropriate to the position.
• Working knowledge of basic DC and AC electricity, internal combustion and diesel engines.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Mathematical ability including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
• Raymond Level 1 Certification or working toward that goal, if applicable.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, if applicable.
• Maintain personal tools and be able to add tools as required by duties and certification level.
• Ability to take direction and be a team player.
• Willingness to learn quickly and perform accurately with flexibility.
• Motivated for continuous self-development and training.

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years breakdown experience or comparable service experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• This position will be based in the field and require daily travel within assigned territories.
• Technicians will be provided a company vehicle and a company Fuel Card to pay for vehicle expenses.
• Must be able to be insured by Raymond West.
