POSITION

SUMMARY

The Traveling Service Technician will be representing AES and its core principles before our customers within the Alaska region. He/she will complete service repairs and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, adhere to and comply with service bulletins, and perform computer-based software updates, diagnostics and troubleshooting for Ground Support Equipment. All Traveling GSE Mechanics will report to the Operations Manager.

Shift

Monday through Thursday. 10 hour day shift. Travel is to shop locations throughout Alaska.

Salary

The expected pay rate for this position is $35.00 - $45.00 per hour. The actual pay rate offered may vary on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications and/or location.

Additional Incentives
  • $5,000 sign on bonus. The bonus is contingent upon successfully completing specified periods of employment, along with satisfactory performance and adherence to company policies. The details of the payout are as follows:
    • $3,000 will be paid out after a 90-day trial period
      .
    • The remaining $2,000 will be paid after 6 months of continuous employment
      .
    • This Sign-On Bonus offer is exclusively available for this location (Alaska) and Travel Service Technician position. Please note that all payments are subject to standard tax with holdings.
  • Earn more by completing your ASE certifications in Medium/Heavy Equipment and receive a one-time bonus for becoming a Certified Master Technician. Tests paid for by AES.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, HVAC, and/or discrepancies on various Ground Support Equipment (GSE) systems and subsystems.
  • Inspect, repair, and/or overhaul components, such as mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, HVAC, and hydraulic systems.
  • Disassemble components, inspect for quality factors, and reassemble to OEM specifications.
  • Strictly adhere to common aviation practices of Tool Control, FOD Prevention, Safety, and Parts Accountability.
  • Strict adherence to all environmental safety and regulatory commissions, including (but not limited to) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
  • Ability to disassemble components and to reassemble.
  • Professional interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Performs routine housekeeping duties, including cleaning work area, tool boxes, and company vehicle(s).
