Intra-Cellular Therapies, a Johnson & Johnson company, is expanding its CAPLYTA® medical team to support our growing impact in psychiatry. The Neuroscience Sales Specialist has overall responsibility for meeting or exceeding sales expectations within their assigned geographies in an ethical and compliant manner.

They understand customer needs, align marketing resources, and support pull-through activities, while embodying Intra-Cellular’s vision of improving the lives of patients with neuropsychiatric disorders.

The Neuroscience Sales Specialist will develop product and disease state knowledge to engage in in-depth clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals and will have responsibility for creating local strategic and tactical plans, resource allocation, and budget/expense management within the territory. We are looking for sales professionals who are patient-focused, results-driven, adaptable, and entrepreneurial in a fast-paced culture.

Responsibilities
  • Following compliance guidelines, drive sales performance to meet or exceed forecasts within the assigned territory by calling on HCP offices and Mental Health Community Centers, both in-person and virtually.
  • Effectively uses the assigned budget to achieve territory objectives. Customize discussions and client interactions based on customer needs in a compliant and ethical manner.
  • Maintain current understanding of local market, practice structures, evolving customers, and key influencers; routinely share information with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide input into resource allocation decisions across customers/regions; identify and select programs/resources for each customer, practice, and/or system.
  • Collaborate with Regional Business Manager and stakeholders to develop a local business plan that achieves business objectives and leverages formulary approvals and other opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other Neuroscience Sales Specialists on common objectives and best practices.
  • Provide timely and accurate administrative management of work hours, sales call data, customer objectives, responses, synchronization, samples, and expense reporting.
  • Inform and build a business plan based on customer needs, resources, and product portfolio.
  • Complete all company and job-related training within required timelines.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in healthcare sales/account management, B2B sales, or recent active-duty military transition.
  • 3+ years of sales experience in specialty pharmaceuticals (preferred).
  • Launch, antipsychotic, and/or bipolar sales experience (highly preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Strong desire to improve patients’ lives and patient-centricity.
  • High integrity with adherence to the Company’s Compliance policies and procedures.
  • Self-motivation, initiative, entrepreneurial mindset, sound judgment, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving environments (e.g., Covid-19) and telemedicine/virtual settings.
