Pay: $14.00 to $17.00 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process!

We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. A Pawnbroker/Retail Sales Associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
The associates work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. The Part-Time Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. The actual pay depends on factors such as work location, qualifications, and experience.
- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non-management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintains merchandise displays.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, showing respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Completes required training.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, etc.).
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- May assist customers on exterior areas or retrieve products stored in exterior storage.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, be team-oriented.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math proficiency
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Ability to work across multiple locations as needed.
- Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and standard office machines.

Commission Plan InformationThe employee commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance on gross profit. Details are provided during the interview process.
